WKD

This piece was produced on the last day of a 3 week workshop in West Kingsdown.

The young were taught to design pieces and put them up on the back of the skateboard ramps from designs made in the morning.

They were also given individual boards to do the following week to take home.

Tony and I quickly designed a piece to put up on a blank area above a piece I'd done 4 years before. I kept the design, colours and fill-in in a similar style to the previous one and Tony designed some characters of us both for either end.

Warrior (part 2)

Tony (Chaos) had volunteered for us to do a demonstration piece for the River Festival, and had the boards and a quantity of paint supplied. We wanted to demonstrate our strengths in style and came up with some new character and letter designs.
I'd wanted to do a part 2 to a piece that I'd done in 1989 called 'Warrior' which was a bit of a ground breaking piece for me. I've been developing some more up to date lettering and wanted to showcase our talents to a wide audience that would be at the festival.
Tony had designed a great character that fit well above the lettering, and we spent a majority of the day spray this one up (about 6 hours). It was baking hot and we got a bit burnt in the process.

'The Hurst' 15/06/09

This was a piece that was created at the end of a four week workshop at Staplehurst.

We'd spent the first three sessions teaching design and spraying individual boards, and the club wanted a sign for their building.

The young people had come up with the name The Hurst for their youth club - easier to do than Staplehurst Youth Club!

Sutton Valence May Fair

We were approached to demonstrate the creative work we did for Kent Youth Service recently at the May Fair in Sutton Valence.

We had participated in some workshops for them at Marden, Sutton Valence and Staplehurst, with activies such as clothes cutomising and individual graffiti boards.

The demonstration piece was to illustrate the kind of work to parents and young people we had done locally.
